It was closing in on our wedding day, the ‘biggest’ day of our lives to date, and as a crafty bride with lots of time to plan I figured I had it all under control. Soon however, I realized though I wanted to be in control on my big day that, on the day I couldn’t orchestrate the whole thing and be in it at the same time! Before hiring Claudia, I panicked whilst thinking I’d have to give up control to a complete stranger, but I was wrong, I had control, I just learned to delegated responsibilities and trust a professional (And thanks to Claudia that process wasn’t traumatic!). When Dave and I decided to get married we knew that our life together would be filled with adventure but we had no idea to what extent until we started planning our wedding. We came into this having no idea what to do, or where to start. I met Claudia at the recommendation of a friend and Dave and I were impressed from the beginning.Jennifer and Dave
Before deciding to hire a wedding coordinator, we were overwhelmed by all the details that had to be worked out. Claudia explained the foundations of most ceremonies and receptions as a starting point and from there we were able to figure out what felt right for us. Claudia wasn't phased at all when we told her that the wedding would be art deco themed and that I wanted a feather headpiece instead of a veil! Instead she helped us organize everything from choosing a minister who would create a custom ceremony, finding a palm tree supplier and finding silver coated almond favours.
While Dave and I were busy managing our careers, Claudia was managing our wedding preparations. Throughout the months before the wedding, we knew that we were on track because of Claudia's communications with our suppliers, her attention to detail, and her thorough knowledge of everything wedding related. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go through planning a wedding without the help of a wedding coordinator and I was happy and relieved that Claudia was on our side.
Dave and I were able to relax and spend the day together enjoying ourselves, our family and our friends. We couldn't have pulled off such a classy event without Claudia's help from beginning to end. Our photos are proof; we're laughing in most of them!

She had schedules prepared for us for our time there with planned meetings and did background information. I can't tell you how helpful that was for us.... especially since we both had full time jobs and couldn't find the time to coordinate these meetings ourselves.
She helped us create our budget and she kept it updated for us, she created payment schedules with all the vendors and kept a calendar of all events including payment times. She helped us prioritize our needs and reminded us to keep to our budget when we were going over.
I think the most important part of her job for us was the week right before the wedding to the day after the wedding day. The week had been scheduled out for us, all our attendants (we had six [couples] and who were mostly flying in from all over the continent), our parents and everyone else who had responsibilities in the wedding. Everyone had their itineraries including maps to know where to go. By the day of the wedding, everyone knew what had to be done.
After the ceremony Claudia was at the site of the reception coordinating all the vendors and making sure the hotel staff had arranged everything to our plans. It was such a relief not to have to worry about all that stuff on our special day. My mom said that I was the least stressed out bride she had ever seen. We actually ate dinner and enjoyed seeing everybody during the reception.
