The Long Distance Client Relationship

Sometimes as a planner you don’t have the privilege of meeting your clients until the week of their wedding date. We get long distance clients on a regular basis. There is just something about the hearts of Maritimers that always brings them back home to marry their best friend. Our beautiful East Coast provinces shouldn’t be taken for granted. This is exactly how we met Cindy & Ryan!

It was such pleasure to be able to work with Cindy & Ryan on the final touches of their wedding – they are one of the most calm, relaxed, and fun couples. Cindy prepped from Alberta, then shipped everything she hand-crafted to Halifax to finalize her personal touches on the decor, for both the ceremony and reception areas, held at the Saraguay House this past August.

Their wedding cake was designed by City Girl Cakes. Cindy even handmade that amazing ‘D’ cake topper! It is safe to say that we loved hearing all about Cindy & Ryan’s wedding vision, and helping guide them along their planning journey. I personally met them for the first time at their rehearsal a few days prior to their special day, and honestly it was as if I was an old friend of the family.

They couldn’t have asked for a better day, with the sun was shining, and both Cindy & Ryan’s smiles also lit up the entire day. Fur-baby Brady attended to witness their nuptials, with a mint bowtie, matching the rest of their bridal party.

Their vintage and DIY decor, gave created an atmosphere of relaxation, elegance, and one to remember, everyone danced the night away to True North DJ – DJ Dollar. It was such a pleasure to have been a part of Cindy & Ryan’s date on August 29, 2015, and we are thrilled to share some of their photographs with you.

We hope you enjoy a look at this special wedding that was beautifully captured by Tanya Shields Photography.
