It was closing in on our wedding day, the ‘biggest’ day of our lives to date, and as a crafty bride with lots of time to plan I figured I had it all under control. Soon however, I realized though I wanted to be in control on my big day that, on the day I couldn’t orchestrate the whole thing and be in it at the same time! Before hiring Claudia, I panicked whilst thinking I’d have to give up control to a complete stranger, but I was wrong, I had control, I just learned to delegated responsibilities and trust a professional (And thanks to Claudia that process wasn’t traumatic!). My colossal and slightly inappropriate sense of responsibility also didn’t have to be forced upon the people I loved and trusted attending my wedding, no, they had the opportunity to enjoy the wedding and be present for each carefully planned detail too… and that’s all thanks to hiring Claudia. Through doubtful dad’s, restricted budgets, secrets and surprises, Claudia handled the entire day with poise, professionalism and kindness. My husband and I hired Claudia to be our wedding planner back in the fall of 2007 with our pending nuptials being August 2008. Claudia was extremely professional, providing us was a detailed budget, ensuring we had thought of all the details that would otherwise have been missed, and managed our entire wedding day for us so we could enjoy ourselves without any worries. She had contingencies in place, everyone on a schedule and because of this, everyone arrived on time for all the wedding events! Trying to plan my Nova Scotia wedding from where I lived (Washington DC) would have been impossible without Claudia. She listened and understood exactly what I wanted. My husband and I got married in on September 3, 2005. We knew when we got engaged, that Halifax was the obvious choice, as I grew up there.
